One point advice from Professor Hoshizuki

The theme this time is "Water."

We will tell you the importance of daily hydration.

How are you all doing?

This is Hoshizuki.

It is said that ideally you should drink 2 litres of water a day.

In adults, water makes up 55-65% of body weight.

Losing 1% of that can make you feel thirsty, and losing 2% can cause dizziness, nausea, and loss of appetite.

Losing another 10% can cause fainting, and losing 20% can be life-threatening.

(It seems that if you can't drink even a drop of water, it becomes difficult to survive within 2-3 days...)

If you stay properly hydrated every day, you can expect detox effects and improved skin quality.

The amount of water needed varies depending on age, build, season, etc., but it is generally 35 ml per kg, so a good guideline would be 1,750 ml for a 50 kg person and 2,100 ml for a 60 kg person.

(Food also contains water, so that counts too!)

Some people may not like water, but tea or sports drinks cannot truly substitute it.

Try to drink it little by little by trying different things like "making it lukewarm water" or "adding fruit."

Also, coffee and alcohol have a diuretic effect and drinking too much of them can actually lead to dehydration.

This does not include the 2L of fluid intake per day, but be sure to drink more fluids when you feel like you need to use the toilet frequently.

How you drink is also important. If you drink a large amount at once, your body will not be able to absorb it and it will be excreted in vain, which can cause chills and swelling.

Try to drink a glass (150ml to 200ml) as frequently as possible, mainly when you wake up, when exercising, before and after bathing, and before going to bed!
